Grandes Distilleries Peureux is a premium French craft spirit and liqueur distillery.
Auguste Peureux founded his distillery in Fougerolles at the foot of the Vosges mountains in 1864.
The distillery specialised in the production of fruit eaux-de-vie, including the famous Kirsch de Fougerolles, which earned a huge reputation very quickly.
Grandes Distilleries Peureux was formed in 2010, joining forces with the Massenez distillery to become one entity.
Grandes Distilleries Peureux also produces griottines. An essential ingredient for chefs around the world, griottines are deliciously flavourful Morello cherries that have been pitted and prepared in a liqueur, made using a unique recipe that is kept a closely guarded secret. The company owns a 200-hectare wild cherry orchard dedicated to growing fruit with just the right texture and flavour.
